History

Millars Well Primary School was opened on 13th July 1981 with 49 students. The school was the second primary school to be built in Karratha and the Principal at the time was Mr Bob Pollard.

The school was named after Frank Millar, a local from the Pilbara who dug wells during the days of cattle droving.

Today, Millars Well PS is one of six primary schools in Karratha. There are currently 348 students enrolled and 22 teachers employed at the school.

The school consists of an Early Childhood Teaching Centre, a Junior/Middle Primary Teaching block and a Senior Primary Teaching block. We have a brand new Performing Arts area, two large undercover areas and recently resurfaced netball and basketball courts.
